A gynaecological disorder is a condition which affects the female reproductive organs namely the breasts and organs in the abdominal and pelvic area including the womb (uterus), ovaries, fallopian tubes, vagina and vulva.

Besides cancer surgery, we also offer Laparoscopic and Hysteroscopic Surgery for benign gynaecological conditions, Hysterectomy may be recommended for:

– Chronic pelvic pain

Recovery is much better as compared to open surgery with less pain, and there as less long term complications eg. adhesions (internal scarring) and infection.

When vaginal prolapse occurs, pelvic muscles, ligaments and connective tissues becomes weakened. Other factors like vaginal childbirth, previous vaginal surgeries, menopause, smoking, diabetes, obesity, a history of heavy lifting, chronic coughing, and chronic constipation may also be contributing factors. If your symptoms are mild, the doctor may recommend lifestyle changes, Kegel exercises to strengthen the pelvic muscles, medication etc. to relieve the symptoms. When the symptoms are severe enough to affect your quality of life, your physician may recommend surgery.
